The figure is painted white with a black animal figure design on the chest, the outlines of feathers on the wings and tail in black, the eyes and eyebrows in black, and the mouth in red. Off-white fabric attached with metal nails behind chest. One of a set of four (see A6154 - A6156).

Mask with elongated face, small eyeholes rimmed in black, black eyebrows with red and black u-shapes above them, red nostrils, and red lips with two curved red lines to either side of the mouth. The remainder of the face is white. Cedar bark fringe hangs from top of head where it is attached with off-white fabric strips.

MaskA6152

Wooden, carved, bear mask with a long snout painted black with red edging. The jaw is hinged with metal wire on either side to the lower mouth. Nose, eyebrows and iris covered with copper. The face has white edging around the green ovoid-like shape with copper eyes on white background. Mouth opens with a copper stripe for teeth. The head is covered in nails with remnants of a skin. One ear nailed to the head and is painted black and red. The inside of the mask is hollow with the exception of an attached twine cord that would have assisted the mouth in opening. A strip of separate wood has been nailed to the bridge of the nose as a possibly repair. The mask is painted black, green, red and white with Northwest Coast stylized designs.

Carved wooden, crooked beak mask. The beak has large red, protruding oval shaped nostrils outlined with black u-forms. Running from the brow is a large central frill that protrudes outward and curves inward to the centre tip of the beak; detailed with black u-forms and an incised head in profile. The mouth is red, flat and protruding; bottom part of jaw is hinged with rectangular pieces of rubber. The face is black with white detailing. The eyes are black, outlined in white and red on a white, ovoid shaped ground; brow is black. The underside of the beak has another, small carved bird head in black and white. The inside of the mask is hollow with the exception of rectangular wooden handle that is tied to the back of the mask with twisted twine. The beak has twine pieces through the lower beak to articulate the mask. Attached to the top, side and bottom ridge are twisted braids of cedar rope; longer cedar strips hang from the top. The mask is painted black, white and red with Northwest Coast stylized forms.

Skull RepresentationA6160

Ornament in the form of a skull without a lower jaw. The forehead and nostrils are green, the temples and lower cheeks are purple, the eye sockets are blue, and the upper lip as well as the rims of the eyes and the peaks of the cheekbones are white. On the reverse side of the lip, there is a metal nail with a fibre fragment attached.
