Short, flaring, square-sided vase with a round neck. The four sides alternate between two brightly coloured patterns on a yellow background: a floral scene and a cherry blossom branch, each with single bird. Black pin borders mark the sides and divide them from the shoulder. The neck and shoulder are blue with a pink, green and yellow floral pattern. The lip is white with a red ring, with four small floral designs on the inside.

Standing figure of longevity carrying a scroll and cane. He is depicted with an elongated forehead and long beard. His robe is decorated with symbolic Buddhist motifs in blue on white. Unmarked.

Rectangular wooden box with dovetail joints, a hinged lid and a lock. Lid features a carved landscape scene with polychrome ivory figures--all are elaborately carved, painted, and gilded. Inside, the underside of lid is covered with padded silk and the bottom is covered with grey velvet; the silk padding is marked "Arthur and Bond Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Yokohama." There may have been a tray inside at one time.
