A printed inscription on the cover page reads: “ SAKANOSHITA About two miles northwest of Seki. One sees Fude Sute No Mine (Paint-brush Throwing Peak). It is here, tradition says, the famous painter Motonobu Kano threw down his brush as he could not paint such beautiful scenery."
