Hat1693/3

A cone-shaped hat and strap covered with feathers and dyed grassed. The hat, and strap appear to be made of woven grass, and the feathers are attached to this. There is a horizontal row of "flowers" made of grass and cloth and mounted onto paper, then sewn around the middle of the hat on top of the white feathers on the background. The hat has an opening at the top which is partially concealed by long brown and red feathers sewn into the inside of the hat. Inside the hat, there are feathers sewn halfway up the inside. The back of the strap is lined with a cloth, and the ends are sewn into the inside of the hat.

The cape is tapered towards the top and covered with feathers. The feathers are arranged in rows of thick white-yellow and thin brown. There is a light and dark bark trim around the edges.
