Item Search

The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Unmodified ShellEXU22F0121400

This shell was loaned to Phoebe Anderson from 12/8/2005 until 8/11/2009 for faunal analysis. Samples were taken from the 1st, 4th, 8th, and 12th buckets to perform taxonomic and size analyses. Additionally, five shells per level, preferably Protothaca staminea (common littleneck clam), underwent destructive sampling in order to analyze seasonality of occupation and to reconstruct the past environment of the Pacific Northwest. Anderson's analysis is described fully in her dissertation, A Gendered Model of Prehistoric Resource Depression: A Case Study on the Northwest Coast (2009), and full analysis sheets are attached to this record .
