The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Dark grey to black, grey cortex, opaque, unifacial, some retouch to shape edge, pebble tool remnant.
Medium to dark grey, bifacial, rippled ventral surface, opaque, fine grained, sharp edges, secondary flake.
A medium sized double beaked cobble tool, the opposite end exhibits some use-wear possibly used as a scraper as well. Some smooth medium grey cortex present, with some russet coloured veins. The exposed surface is dark grey with a fine grain. The dorsal face has a single large flaked off section with percussion ripples and compression ripples. The ventral face has at least three impact sites, one with a large percussion wave and a negative bulb.
A small secondary flake, with a thin strip of cortex present on the distal end. The cortex is a smooth medium brown, and the exposed surface is grey with a fine grain. The dorsal face is light convexed, with compression ripples extending to the proximal end. The ventral face has a light concave surface, with two impact sites near the cortex, one with a bulb present, and both with a percussion wave. There's some black scarring present, with two small scarring points on the dorsal face, and a few tiny scarring points scattered on the ventral face' edges.
A small retouched secondary flake. The dorsal face is made up of smooth medium grey cortex with a coarse rough patch present, and jagged edges all around. The ventral face is a smooth, very fine-grained black. There are five impact sites present all around the edges, one with a bulb and one with a negative bulb. There are a few flake ridges present. Some potential use-wear present on the left mesial portion, dorsal face- possibly used as a pebble chopper.
A medium sized, side flaked, convex cobble chopper with smooth light grey cortex covering the dorsal surface. The exposed surface is the same light grey with a very fine grain. The ventral face has multiple flake arrises, and five impact sites- only one of the sites has a bulb of percussion present, and only one other has an erailleur scar. The sites all have compression ripples, and percussion rings. Some black scarring is present on near the outer edge of the cortex, and on the ventral face. Grey cortex and patina, unifacial, black where chipped, opaque, fine grained, chipped end, sharp edge, discoidal chopper.
A medium sized semi-lunar knife. The belonging is a smooth, glassy black with a very fine grain. The dorsal face has an impact site on the distal end with a negative bulb on the opposite side of the fine hooked point, resulting in a clean break with very light compression ripples. The ventral face has two flake ridges/bilateral bevelled edges and some compression ripples. The hooked point is fine, sharp, and moderately thin. Some potential use-wear present.
A medium sized retouched flake with a beaked point and a small patch of medium grey cortex with lighter inclusions present. The exposed surface is a slightly darker grey with some lighter inclusions, glassy black particles, and a fine grain. The dorsal face has an impact site with some compression ripples and a percussion wave at the distal end, with a jagged edge on the left mesial portion and a curved smooth edge on the right mesial end. The ventral face has some flake arrises present, and a small flaked off section in the upper left distal end.
A medium sized cortex side-struck spall tool with secondary flaking along the proximal edge. The belonging is a medium grey with a fine grain, and smooth light grey cortex. There's an impact site in the middle of the ventral face distal edge with a negative bulb, compression ripples and a percussion wave. The edge along this site is flat with minimal jagged edges. On the secondary flaked proximal end there are 4 impact sites, one with a bulb. Some compression ripples, erailleur scars, and flake arrises present.
A medium sized slate knife, potentially a semi-crescent scraper. The belonging is a medium grey with a fine grain, and a small patch of light grey smooth cortex. A unifacially bevelled edge is present on the proximal end' blade on the dorsal face, on the opposite side of the cortex patch. On the left mesial portion there's a semi-thick flat spine. There's two intact impact sites on the distal end, both with their own bulbs. The ventral face has a lightly convexed surface near the middle, with a gentle slope near the unifacially bevelled blade edge.
