The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

A small piece of semi-rectangular debitage. The belonging is black with some reflective mineral particles, and a fine grain. The ventral face has a couple tiny flake ridges, and some jagged edges along the sides, particularly the hooked section. The dorsal face is flat but textured, with minimal worked features.
A small piece of slate debitage. The belonging is a glassy light black with a very fine grain. The dorsal face is slightly raised, with some of the layers peaking through. The ventral face has a triangular flaked off section. The belonging sports a tiny hooked fragmented section, a rounded edge, and a flat edge.
A small secondary flake with a patch of smooth, matte, light grey cortex to the right mesial portion of the dorsal surface. The belonging is a glassy black with a very fine grain. Some compression ripples can be seen on the dorsal face. There's an impact site right in the middle, to the left of the cortex. The ventral face shows a compression ring, and a raised negative bulb to the upper right distal end.
A small secondary flake with a ridge of matte dark grey cortex along the distal portion. The ventral face is has an impact site, and a negative bulb indent on the left mesial portion. The dorsal face has an impact site, a bulb of percussion, and a flake removal site coming in from the left mesial portion towards the centre with some compression ripples. There are some flake arrises towards the centre proximal portion.
A small secondary flake with some of the striking platform still present. The belonging is a matte black with some small circular white mineral inclusions, and a very fine grain. There's a thick ridge of smooth, matte, light grey cortex at the distal portion with two impact sites on opposite ends of the ventral face. A small bulb of percussion can be seen near the left mesial portion on the ventral face. A few flake arrises can be seen on the ventral face.
A small secondary flake with some smooth, matte but glassy black cortex on the proximal end of the dorsal surface. The ventral face is black with a very fine grain, and an impact site in the centre of the distal end. Some compression ripples in various directions are visible. The ventral face also has two bulbs, one just below the other to the left of the impact site; a portion of the first bulb is just barely visible from the dorsal face, too. The dorsal face also has some flake arrises.
A medium sized modified fragment with nonsystematic retouching along the distal portion on both faces. The dorsal surface is nearly covered in a matte smooth black cortex, save for the flaked off section near the distal end. Jagged edges can be seen on the left mesial portion and near the proximal end, and there's a dent in the middle-centre of the dorsal face. On the ventral face there's a potential impact site on the upper left mesial portion. A single flake ridge near the proximal end, and an small blister near the lower left mesial portion.
A medium sized unifacial flake. The dorsal is covered by a smooth light grey cortex with two white bands extending width-wise. The ventral face is a medium grey with a very fine grain, with the same two white bands, and some very thin smaller white bands going in various directions. Minimal worked features, a possible impact site can be seen on the dorsal face.
A medium sized uniface fragment. The dorsal face is covered by smooth, speckled light grey cortex. The ventral face is a medium grey with a fine grain, and some quarts mineral deposits. Features that can be seen on the ventral surface include an impact site, a bulb of percussion, and some flake arrises.
A medium sized core scraper. The dorsal face is made up of a smooth light grey cortex, and the ventral face is medium grey with a fine grain. The belonging is thicker near the centre with a ridge in the middle, and thins out on either side of the ridge. Some use-wear is present along the semi-thick 'blade' on the ventral face. The ventral face also shows an impact site and some compression ripples.
