Hollow bust of Jomon female figurine with a wide face, broad neck, raised shoulders and breast. The eyes are large ovals with slits. (Part b is a wooden stand, in storage.)

Large bulbous jar with wide mouth, very porous red clay.

Helmet with flat rim and domed crown. The helmet is coated in black lacquer with a gold floral crest design. A cushion is attached on the inside of the crown with padded straps extending down from it, and these are covered in blue fabric.

Circular box with lid and straight sides; all in orange lacquer but top of lid, which is brown.

Pair of wide "v" shaped wooden legs with brass accents and rivets; engraved brass plates depicting grape-like plants with a bushy-tailed animal crouching beneath them are featured on one side of parts a and b. Wood legs are painted black, excepting the undersides of both parts.

Cube-shaped lantern with paper on a wooden frame (part a). Top is open and has carrying handle attached. Side has one sliding panel. A cover (part b) with carved motifs of sun and moon slides directly over lantern to block out excess light. Red and black.

Plain shallow bowl with a wide rim and narrow base. Three indents around inner rim.

Plain shallow dish with a tab at one side.

Sake container (a) with tapering cylinder shape and two arms that protrude upwards that are joined by a crossbar that acts as a handle. The container is also held together with four bands of twisted bamboo, two at the top edge, and two at the base. A stopper (b), also a tapering cylinder, fits into a hole in the the lid (part c). Reddish-brown finish overall.

Rectangular box with lid that can be locked; there are bail-type handles on both ends; black characters are on inside bottom and underside of lid. Label on bottom says made in Japan; label on top of lid says 45; tag on one handle has two characters and 45.
