Small lidded woven basket. Basket has a whalers design including two whales and whalers in a boat. Purple band encircles bottom of basket and interrupted lines of purple and green encircle top. The lid is peaked and encircled with bands of a brown, purple and green leaf-like pattern. Dark pink from top to bottom.

Long Nuu-chah-nulth style canoe with eleven thwarts that cross the opening and ten plank seat that are each located just to the side of a thwart, near the bottom of the canoe. the bow and stern both have upward protruding parts that are painted white; outer side has black band below the top edge. (Part b is a replacement twart that is not attached to the canoe.)

Mat1758/3

Round, flat basketry mat with a scalloped edge encircling it. Edge is a strip of green, woven to body of mat. Design on mat is of two whales, men in a boat and a bird encircling a green star-like shape. Two circles of design surround central figures, with the inner design consisting of brown and orange flying birds and the outer design consisting of a zig zag. Colour on bottom of mat is more vibrant than colour on top.
