Rain cape woven into a semi-circular shape. The corners have been trimmed at the bottom front, and they are blanket stitched along with the edges that extend down from the neck. There is a loop of ramie cord at the back of the neck, and the bottom edges are unfinished with a fringe.

Hat with overall bell shape and strips of stem woven over lengths of plant stem at the top of the crown. The flared brim is composed of strips of plant stem coiled around lenths of plant stem secured in rows with thin strips of plant stem that run vertically down the sides of the brim. One short segment of the brim edge is indented slightly by one and a half rows. The edge of the brim is finished with braided strips of stem. Twined plant fibre strap inside.

There are four padded orange ties knotted on one side as hinges. There are two padded orange ties on the opposite side as closures. Embroidery on the lid is a vase upon a gold wagon with prunus, peony and orchid motifs. Embroidered on the sides are vase, butterfly and floral motifs. The bottom is white and undecorated. The inside is covered with orange silk.
