One of two matching rectangular mats (with K2.247 b) made from long strands of papyrus stitched together in rows. The outer edges are dyed in maroon and green stripes, alternately, with the centre remaining undyed; the green stripes are longer than the maroon stripes.

BeltK2.248 a-b

Part a is a long tassel with sections of black and white leather strips bound at the top and base of the tassel's handle. In the centre of the handle, there are sections of yellow, black, and red fibre wrapped around a grass(?) underlay. Long fringe covers an additional leather tubular piece with additional fringe. Part b is a belt bent in the shape of a circle and is secured at two overlapping ends by leather bands. Opposite side has two overlapping sections of black and white leather strips woven together.

KnifeK2.249 a-b

Machete knife blade (part a) is straight, and flat with a point at the end, and three longitudinal grooves on each side. The handle is simple, and covered with leather. The sheath (part b) has black and white strips woven together over red leather.

Cast-iron head with a wood handle covered with leather decorations. Goat hair strip around the middle with fringes in turquoise, white, and black-lined brown strips of leather. Has an attached spear head cover of leather.
