Mosquito2880/1

Silkscreen print of a Northwest Coast stylized mosquito in black, red and blue on off-white paper. Mosquito is shown in profile, facing right, with a very long probiscus bent down along the front of its body. The head contains a large eye with a black pupil and blue background. The body has red and white motifs and three faces looking out from the front facing the stinger. The inner side of the stinger has red teeth-like outlines. A red line with U-shapes weaves back and forth behind the mosquito. Pencil inscription of title, artist and date below image. Framed.

Two Barrel Shotgun2890/1 a-b

Stone carving of two barrels and a shotgun (part b) that sit on a stone base. The barrels are mainly a light green stone with black highlights and are attached to the base; the gun is mainly black and dark mottled green-grey stone, with a light green butt end and very small inlays of an ivory coloured material (bone?). The gun leans on the barrels and has a small round attachment on the base to hold the butt end in place. The carving is signed and dated by artist on underside of the base.

Loading His Sled2880/2

Drawing of a man loading a sled that is tied to a snowmobile by a rope. Man is kneeling by the back of the sled, with his back to the viewer and wearing a red backpack. The scene is of a snowy plain with some rocky hills in the background and then another flat snowy plain beyond those, with a blue sky. On the sled is a grey box, blue cover and red gas can. There is an embossed stamp in the lower right corner and in pencil below image the title, artist and date are written.

Headdress2845/1

War bonnet or headdress made of a brown felt cap with a wide beaded band that sits at the forehead, with long eagle feathers attached above the band, completely surrounding and obscuring it. They are attached by skin loops and each is wrapped with red fabric, secured by sinew, on the lower portion of the shaft. Tufts of animal hair and burgundy fibres sit on small squares of leather, and are attached with adhesive to the feathers at the tips. The beadwork on the band has geometric designs in red, blue, green and gold on a white beaded background. Strands of red cotton and smaller feathers drape down from behind the headband. Overall colours are dark brown, white, red, green, blue and dark yellow.

Rectangular, red felt wall hanging with rounded corners. Multicoloured felt appliqué of various zoomorphic figures with human heads; six bird and two musk ox-like figures. Figures are covered with multicoloured linear embroidery. Edges are rolled with maroon and white whipstitching.

In the upper left corner there is an orange and blue bird with a light yellow owl in the middle and an orange kayak in the upper right corner. Dangling from the orange and blue bird, there is a human wearing turquoise clothing with purple trim who is holding onto a blue dog on the left side and a yellow dog on the right side. Above, there is ahuman wearing grey clothing and blue boots with a human-animal-like creature in the lower right corner with a grey and orange cariboo ? above.
