The Lonely SalmonNb3.1486

Silver bracelet carved with a central, salmon design. The whole surface of the bracelet has a net-like design consisting of a braided, diamond shaped pattern with a repetitive, wave design in between each. The bracelet is oval shaped and the rounded ends do not meet. There is an inscription on the back reading: “The Lonely Salmon”, Lyle Wilson ’97.

Wolf headdress carved from yellow cedar. Natural wood with black and red-brown details. There is a row of alternating coloured cut-out circular shapes raised above the top of the head and U-shaped designs projecting from the back. The teeth behind the incisors are cut out.

Commercial white business envelope folded and glued in three triangles at the back with the fourth triangular flap folding from the top and remaining loose with blue along the bottom edges. Envelope front has a red insignia rectangular on the left side four-fifths of the way up the side and has a black line drawn styled profile bird head facing down with a three teardrop segmented tail below, a line sweeping up and around on either side, and three lines at either side of the tail. Writing/printing at the top left side in black ink reads 'Lyle Wilson / #9 Wherever St. / Van., BC.', and at the centre 'F. MacDonald / Ottawa, Can. ??"
