BasketNb7.326

Rectangular shaped, flattened basket, with decorated walls and two handles. Base in checker work plaiting with seven rows of yellow-brown decoration. Sides are decorated with six bands of diagonal plaiting in yellow-brown and black. Decorative band around the top of the basket in light brown and dark brown. Twining rim appears braided. Handles, three ply twisted cedar, are slotted through the sides one-third of the way down and knotted inside.

Cylindrical basket. Base warps radiate from a small cedar bark square with a twined bottom. Sides are decorated with a band consisting of seven rows of twining with purple on the inside fading to a yellow-brown on the outside. Rim is reinforced with bundle wrapped with grass material.

Twined, cylindrical basket with slightly flaring walls. Base decorated with five rows of yellow-brown stitches alternating with brown cedar bark stitches. Base continues for five rows up wall of basket, forming first decorative band. Above this is a five row band of yellow-brown, two row band of dark brown, central band of red-brown and yellow-brown alternating to form vertical stripes, two rows of dark brown, top band consists of four rows of yellow-brown, rim folded over and secured with row of twining.

Basket with a handle and a rectangular base with sides flaring to an oval mouth. Base and sides are made of simple plaiting. Sides are decorated with three bands consisting of four rows of black overlaid wefts. Rim edge is folded over and secured with two rows of twining. Handle is secured on each side by two knotted ends.

Cylindrical basket with slightly flaring walls. Base warps radiate from a central point. Base is decorated with band of three rows of light red strands. Walls are decorated with three bands: the top band consists of one row of dark brown, one row of light-red and light yellow-brown alternating, and one row of dark-brown and light brown alternating. The remaining two bands consist of yellow grass woven through light brown warp strands with row of dark brown, a row of light red and light yellow-brown alternating and a row of dark brown and light yellow-brown alternating above and below the yellow grass strand. Rim is folded over and secured with row of twining.

Basket with a tight weave and slightly concave dish shape. Decorated with a ridge near the centre that has every third strand in light red alternating with two strands of undyed root. There is a decorative band near the rim of the dish with a geometric arrow design.

Upper band consists of three rows of light yellow-brown stitches alternating with two rows of red-brown. The lower band consists of three rows of alternating light yellow-brown and red-brown stitches. Rim has warps folded over to the outer side and secured by one row of two ply twining.

Small round basket. Circular base has warps radiating from a centre point with a spiral design. Base is demarcated from the walls by a row of stitching. Walls of wrapped twining have two decorative bands each consisting of seven rows: two yellow-brown, one green, one yellow-brown, one green, and two yellow-brown. Rim is finished in a braid-like weave.

Cylindrical twined basket (part a) with a lid (part b). Base (part a) is constructed of plain twining. Walls are twined and decorated with two bands, each band consisting of three rows of yellow-brown, three rows of alternating stitches of yellow-brown and red-brown, and three rows of yellow-brown. Rim has a braided appearance. Lid (part b) has a small knob and is decorated with alternating yellow-brown and red-brown stitches with a swirl effect and a band of solid yellow-brown.

Round twined basket with a square plaited base. Walls have twining going in two directions and are decorated with bands of dark red-brown stitches. Rim is finished with a row of three ply twining with alternating stitches: two stitches yellow-brown and one stitch red-brown with the warps cut off.
