Finely woven shawl. On a black ground are dense stripes made of sketch-style white lines, running the length of the textile. At each end sits a panel of loosely woven fibre, much like lace, with linear and diamond designs incorporated. The panels are finished with a fringe at each end.

Light brown shawl woven from twisted plant fibre, with dark brown and red-brown dyed fibre incorporated into the weave and used to create patterning. Patterns are in horizontal lines running the length of the shawl and include ladders and diamonds, among other motifs. Long dense fringe is looped at one end, and cut at the other.

Bracelet3518/2

Silver(?) bracelet consisting of eight circular charms connected with chains; the eighth charm is divided in half and secured together with a tab insert clasp. From left to right, charms depict: coin from 1882, scene of horse and tree, coin from 1882, guitar, coin from 1882, and scene of wagon, tree and house. Space between charm edges and designs have been cutout. The split charms have plain borders and curvlinear motifs in the corners.

Silver(?) bracelet consisting of a circular pendant and two curved arms, connected to the pendant with chains. Arms secured together at back with a tab insert clasp and additional thin chain. Man and alpaca scene carved in relief on pendant; human-like figures wearing headdresses carved in relief along length of arms. Small curvilinear and dot motifs around edges of all components.

Mate Container3482/7 a-c

Double silver container (part a) with lids (parts b-c), one side for mate, the other for sugar. Containers are circular, tapering slightly towards the base, and are attached at the rim and side. Connected on the side with a ball decoration, connected at the rim with an upward handle. Handle has a heart-like shape. Each container has three circular feet. Top halves of both containers have impressed triangular and curvilinear motifs. Lids have matching triangular motifs impressed on them, as well as floral motifs. Centres of lids are plain, with curvilinear borders, and have triangle-like knobs. Inner lips along bases of lids. Sticker on base of one container.

Mate Straw3482/10

Stainless steel straw (bombilla) for mate. It has a flat rectangle-like top, that tapers downward slightly, and is bent at an angle. Raised design between mouth piece and undecorated stem, along the bend. Design is of twisted steel between two plain bands. Bottom of straw flattens out, flaring outward slightly at the end. Diagonal lines cut out on front of straw base, allowing mate to enter stem. Additional steel piece attached to end of straw on either side, curving around bottom. Piece flares out at corners, making it triangle-like in shape.

Mate Straw3482/9

Silver straw (bombilla) for mate. It has a rectangle-like top and globular bottom. The top opening is gold coloured, flat and slightly flared at the mouth. The upper half of the straw stem is covered in raised floral motifs. The flower designs are done in diagonal rows and have gold coloured highlights. On either end of the decorated section is a plain, raised band, done in silver. The lower half of the stem is undecorated. The rounded bottom is perforated, to act as a filter.
