Antlers balance on top of head, with three points each. Neck is thick, attached to a muscled body, with a small tail at haunches. Hooves are attached to parallel bars at bottom. Torso is hollow.

Cast bronze plaque of a feline. Cast in shallow, rounded relief with a sleek feline in openwork. Cat shown in profile, with head of a deer in its jaws. A second dear head emerges in front of the first, and a kitten peaks out of the grass below the cat's chest. The backside of the plaque is concave, with two open loops attached at each end.

Bronze figure of a standing doe. Animal has a wedge-shaped head topped with very large, finely wrought ears. Eyes are sharply defined. Neck is long and attached to narrow shoulders and a rounded torso that thins at the hips. A small tail curves up at the haunches. Hooves are attached to parallel bars at bottom. Torso is hollow underneath.

Bronze plaque of a buffalo (reverse image of 3143/2). Horned animal with head lowered, as if charging. Legs are bent, tail is curved at top corner, and a large, shaped hole sits between the horns. Some etching on legs and face to denote hair and features. Surface is mottled brown and green with traces of bright gilding in crevices. Back of piece is concave with two open metal loops attached near centre.

Finial3143/1

Slightly oval bronze cap, or finial, with inlaid silver design. The open end is oval shaped; the closed end is rounded at the edges and smooth. There is a raised band about one third of the way up from the open end. Almost the entire outer surface, starting 0.4 cm from the edge, is decorated with feathery scrolls and griffins surrounded by scrollwork. The bronze is covered in a dark green patination, except for a few spots that are dark brown. Just above the raised band is a pierced hole, and spaced above the hole are two round dents.
