Headrest3420/72

Headrest carved from a single piece of wood. The upper surface is flat and smooth, and curves upwards on either side. There are downward axe-shapes protruding at both ends. The headrest is four-legged, with all legs clustered at the centre - two at centre leaning to one side, and two end legs leaning in the opposite direction.

Three-legged headrest carved from a single piece of wood. The upper surface has a slight curve to the side, and it tapers in at each end. The wood has been hammered with small circles all over on one side, with less on the opposite side.

Amulet3420/66

Rectangular metal amulet with concave or "pinched" sides. The amulet contains layers of rectangles, diamonds, and triangles in silver with gold and copper. A raised silver sphere is set at centre. The front is etched with geometric designs and script. Strung on a braided brown leather cord, which attaches at both upper corners of the amulet. Two large dark purple, teal and yellow leather tassels hang on either side of the amulet, and are each wrapped with black and white checkerboard pattern bands and other colours.

Human face mask with bright pink skin, and headdress with long ends that flips out to the sides. Mask has slit eye holes cutout with black marks underneath. They have thin rounded black eyebrows, black lips, and there are four vertical black lines on the forehead and three dots on each cheek. The black lips extend into a line down the chin.

Blanket3356/1

Weaving with a background of natural off-white wool. The design features a box created by a black and off-white checkerboard pattern with some brown-yellow within. This box is bordered by brown-red checkerboard with two black lines across the top, and three black lines across the bottom. Within the box, a series of horizontal bands with triangles and zigzags. Between the bands is a grid of four by four small sections of bold zigzag designs with small natural off-white sections in between (three by three). The loops along the top of the blanket are shorter than those along the bottom.

Ceremonial Tunic3289/21

Rectangular shaped tunic made of pounded barkcloth from fig tree bark. Hole cut in centre for head, and reinforced with some orange stitches. The tunic is predominantly covered in jaguar print markings, which are a deeper orange-red on the back. There are small human figures and a bull(?) on the chest, also a circle with five points inside, four in a square and a central point. This design is similar to traditional ceremonial xikules (large circles with a central point). The bottom central line of the tunic is painted with water droplets.
