Feather Headdress3301/2

Headdress with thin woven band in pink and yellow, which wraps around the folded quill of each feather. The feathers alternate between a wide section of brownish-red feathers, and small sections of vibrant blue. The feathers have been trimmed evenly across the headband, with exception to the two full-length bright blue feathers at centre.

Ear Ornament3301/7 a-b

Pair of ear ornaments (a-b). Each ornament is composed of a long, skinny stick, adorned with a small bundle of small dark brown feathers, with a single bright teal feather at centre. The bundle is bound to the stick by fibre.

Mask3301/20

Large, flat mask made using a wooden frame. Frame formed using a long, arching piece of wood, which is attached on either end to a shorter, straight piece of wood. Weaving is mounted within the frame. A very thin piece of wood or plant material is used to divide the centre into an hourglass-like shape, as well as give the piece two circular eyes, and a small fish(?). The eyes, fish and sides are filled with clay painted grey and black, with geometric designs on the sides. Extending out from the arch of the frame, and down from the straight edge is long fringe, created by knotting the fibre along thin plaited straps, which are then attached to the frame.

Woven bag composed of a long rectangular panel, folded almost in half, and then stitched up the sides. The bag is woven with a geometric design. There is a long woven strap attached at the lower edge of the bag's opening.

Burden Basket3301/17

Large basket with a rounded bottom, and a small handle of twisted fibre on either side. One half of the basket is painted with rows of black rings. The rim of the basket is formed from plaited fibres. Seven pieces of root(?) are bent into rings, and attached within the basket to hold its shape.

Pair of feather earrings (parts a-b) with gold-coloured hook backings. Small, various-coloured down-like feathers are layered together, and then bound to the earring backing by black fibre.

Dart Container3301/15 a-j

Container with lid (part b), and darts/tools inside (parts c-j). Container is a hollow cylinder of wood with one closed end. Plaited plant fibre is looped around the container and tied, making a small carrying strap. The sides have been shaved lengthwise, and zigzag designs have been burned in. The lid is made from animal skin, with the hair on the interior. The tools are all made of wood. The largest tool (c) tapers in to a point at either end, and is quite flat. Smaller tools (d-j) are all composed of wood, and have a dark brown shiny substance on their pointed ends.

Neck Ring3301/13

Neck ornament composed of six pieces of skinned birds. At centre, the longest skin with short, ruffled feathers attached to more skins by twisted fibres tied at either end. One side has two small colourful bird skins with feathers and one larger mostly black with a yellow band and some red, which matches the two skins tied to the other end of the central piece.
