Two rectangular panels with embroidery and attached borders (part a-b). The identical panels have multicoloured stripes in a geometric pattern, predominantly purple on black ground. Flanking the stripes are embroidered and attached borders. Along one edge is an embroidered border with a bird motif within blocks. Along the opposite edge is an attached border with large bird and butterfly motifs, predominantly purple with multicoloured detail. Part (b) also has a paper cover sewn over the attached border. The back is unlined.

There are embroidered panels on the shoulders and sleeves. The panels feature rows of characters and bird, animal and floral motifs in predominantly red on black ground. The front is longer than the back. The inside is unlined.

The border along one side is outlined in white with a multicoloured vine design and pink, red and white flowers. There is one salvage edge, two cut edges and one finished edge.

Hat with domed shape and black base with a band of white ribbon at the edge that has green and red embroidery under a row of domed and bossed metal ornaments above which is another row of embossed metal ornaments that are slightly triangular in shape. The crown is covered with dark blue fabric embroidered with floral and butterfly(?) motifs in light pink, dark pink, dark red, yellow, red and green and embellished with appliqué metallic and off-white undulating ribbon as well as red, green and white ribbon with pompom-like protrusions. The edge of the top layer is scalloped and there is a multicoloured yarn fringe where the top layer meets the base at the sides of the hat.
