Kwakiutl Raven Design2941/1

Wall hanging of a silkscreen print, on burlap cloth. A vertically rectangular black and red raven design, on burlap, covering most of the surface. Wooden dowels are attached at each end with a black string stapled to the upper dowel for hanging. A Coastal Arts printed label is adhered to the reverse which gives the title, artist and biography.

Four Great Whites2938/2

A circular print on square paper. Depicts four abstract great white sharks, two at the top and two at the bottom. Between each pair of sharks is a dark blue sea turtle outlined in yellow. In the middle of the print on each side is a black (frigate?) bird and behind each of them in the centre of the print is a circle within a square and a fish on either side, outlined in yellow. Moonight Fishing2938/1

A print depicting two long-necked herons with long legs. The heron on the right is looking up while the other is looking down at the water. Both herons are decorated with various patterns. The water has a swirled pattern in it. There is a small decorated fish at their feet. At the centre top, there is a white circular moon with symbol inside that represents good fortune for fishing. The sky in the background has a repeated cloud pattern in various shades of purple, blue, pink, and turquoise. Inscription in pencil below image.

Storage Basket2814/21

Large, round, shallow basket made of thin strips of brown palm, woven into a zigzag pattern. The rim is made up of 7 strips of curved vine, one on top of the other, held on by strips of dark brown palm and ropes of braided fibre running horizontally between the vines, on the outside of the rim. The basket’s sides are firm, while the bottom is pliable.

Large, shallow, circular basket made of thin strips of leaf, woven into a crisscross pattern. The sides are firm, while the bottom is pliable. Attached all around the rim by braided plant fibre and strips of leaf is a curved vine.
