Pot2735/2

Dark brown, round ceramic container has a figure, wearing a grass skirt and neck ring, squatting on the top. Pot and figure have similar decorative patterning of connecting bands of two, three, or four lines of tiny oval impressions, at one spot on the pot forming a diamond shape. There is a round opening in the pot below the rear end of the figure and another hole at the top of the brimmed headdress.

Pot2735/1

Dark brown, round ceramic container has a figure crouched frog-like on the top. Upper half of pot and ridged back of figure have the same decorative geometric patterning of raised dots connected with bands of two, three or four lines of tiny oval impressions. There is a round opening at the rear end of the figure and a smaller hole at the top of its elongated ringed head.

Model Canoe2711/1 a-g

Model of an outrigger canoe. The canoe has one lateral support float known as an outrigger which fastens to one side of the main hull, usally the port side. The outrigger has five spars or poles that attach it to the canoe by lashing. The sail is triangular in shape and woven from bark. Canoe (part a); six carved paddles (b-g).

House Finial2716/26

Finial derivation. Tall, carved dark wood finial composed of a tower of figures, standing or sitting one atop the other: two males and a female topped by a bird with large curved beak. All are painted red, yellow and white in parts. The two front facing figures wear grass skirts and the back facing figure, with a fish on his back, holds a snake. The bottom figure wears a snake mask, the other two figures have painted face decoration. All figures have shell eyes and wear woven fibre adornment at ear, nose, neck, wrist and/or ankle. Artist signature is painted in white around base.

Killer Whale2725/1

Large painted carving of a killer whale lying flat on a base. The decorative elements, such as ivory coloured scales and tattoos covering the body of the whale, red mouth, ivory coloured shells are the sides of the base, and red and yellow waves on the runners of the base, are painted over a dark brown background. Shell eyes are embedded at the top of the broad flattened head with rounded nose.

Ceramic figure of a female devil with exaggerated facial features of black bulging eyes, large protruding nose, teeth and ears. In the arms of the figure is a suckling baby devil. Both figures have black horns, tail and feet along with gold spotted detailing and gold bracelets on each wrist. The side is incised with ‘Misterio F.M.'

The Last Supper of Lucifer2708/1

Ceramic sculpture of thirteen devil figures around a table on three sides. The devils have black bulging eyes and protruding noses, teeth and ears. The group is seated on yellow benches around a long, rectangular white table. The devils are presided over by Lucifer (centre), in a mock enactment of Christ's Last Supper. The front is incised with ‘Misterio F.M.'
