Opera dei Pupi puppet of the character named Agricane (King of Mongolia). Three-dimensional marionette carved of wood (part a) with detachable head (part b) mounted on a long, hooked metal rod. He has a thick black moustache and long goatee. He wears a gold tunic, gold pantaloons adorned with vertical red bands, and a blue with gold brocade cape. He is heavily armoured on his body and shoulders, with guards on wrists, ankles and neck (part c). He wears a crown with pointed leaf projections and a long black wool train; he also has a red-yellow-black wool braided headband. The body is jointed at the elbows, shoulders, and hips – held together by fabric underneath main outfit. The left wrist has a length of black-brown cord tied to it, which also attaches a small circular gold shield, with an eight-petaled floral design, to the forearm. The right hand is clenched in a fist, which a small silver and gold-coloured metal sword (parts d-f) is inserted through, which also inserts through the eye of one end of a long metal rod (part g) with an eye hook on each end. Both hands are painted silver. There is a metal band across the bottom of each heel.

He has pink skin, almond-shaped eyes with small black pupils, a closed mouth, and adhered black hair, thin moustache and beard. His fabric body / tunic is dark blue with large pink-red and yellow flowers. The fabric covered foam tubes are adhered to the hands. Hand puppet of a 'Zé Sanfoneiro' or 'Cegao do Fole' (blind) character. Head and hands are carved from wood and painted. He has yellow-beige skin, a large nose, and an open mouth with light pink lips. His right eye is open, and his left eye is closed. His fabric body / tunic is a red with blue, light blue and golden-yellow flowers. The fabric covered foam tubes are adhered to the hands. He has brown skin, almond-shaped black eyes, a large nose, and a slightly open mouth with red lips. He has painted black hair with a small painted circular white cap on the top of his head. His fabric body / tunic is a red and white gingham. The fabric covered foam tubes are adhered to the hands. He has dark brown skin, large rounded and misshapen black eyes, thin rounded eyebrows, a large nose, thin black moustache, and a closed mouth with red lips. He wears a woven wide brim hat, with sides folded up. His fabric body / tunic is red with light blue, red and green floral pattern. The fabric covered foam tubes are adhered to the hands. Calungo hand puppet of a 'Filomena' character (the form is more similar to a doll than a puppet). The fabric body is off-white, with embroidered almond-shaped black eyes, and small red lips. She has attached curly black hair with a red ribbon on top. She wears a bright green dress with dark blue ribbon lining the collar, sleeves and hem, as well as belted around the waist. She has light blue fabric boots.

Calungo hand puppet of a 'Zé da Maloca' character. Head and hands are carved from wood and painted. He has medium grey skin, large almond-shaped black eyes, long nose, semi-circlular beard, and closed mouth with dark red lips. He has painted short black hair. His fabric body / tunic is navy blue with repeating small white flower design. Operated by inserting a hand inside the body of the puppet to control its head and movements.

Mamulengo string (or marionette) puppet of a 'Ritinha' character. Head, hands, and legs are carved from wood and painted. She has pink skin, wide black eyes with long eyelashes, and a slightly open mouth with large red lips. She wears a dress made of two different yellow floral-patterned fabrics with dark pink ribbon lining the neckline, cuffs and belting the waist. She has long curly black hair with a pink and orange ornament on the left side of her head. The fabric is adhered to the hands. Her boots are painted black. She is attached by many black strings to a wooden T-shaped control bar.

Calungo hand puppet of a 'Noiva (bride) Benedita' character (the form is more similar to a doll than a puppet). The fabric body is off-white with attached black glove-like hands. Her facial features are drawn in felt with almond-shaped black eyes, thick eyebrows, small nose, smiling burgundy mouth and rosy cheeks. She wears a long white sleeveless dress. Her red-brown hair is tied up, and worn under a white veil with a large jewelled pink and white bow. She wears earrings and a necklace.

His fabric body / tunic is off-white with purple flowers, and he wears a small red poncho overtop. The fabric is nailed to the hands.
