Daoist album leaf. Painting depicting Xu Xun and the iron pillar restraining drifters. Three figures with red hair and mallots are depicted along with a crowd of people with objects hidden from view hanging from yokes that are slung over their shoulders, all looking at what appears to be burning buildings, and a seated figure in yellow and blue robes surrounded by several warriors with swords and sticks. There are several building roofs surrounded by clouds in the background. A cylindrical object in the foreground has multicoloured flames emerging from the top and is surrounded by several building roofs partially obscured by clouds with a wall at the very front. The painting is mounted on off-white damask-patterned silk on paper.

Painting depicting people on horseback travelling along a stilted boardwalk road through steep mountains with trees to a village near the top of the painting. The painting is mounted on a light yellow silk background with a wooden support at the top and a wooden roller with a black laquered handle (the other handle is missing). Inscription, date and signature of the artist, Hou Mei, of the Qing Dynasty. Attached at the top is a silk tie for tying and a cord for hanging.

Rolled around a cylinder with ceramic finials glazed in brown, white, green, and yellow with an incised cloud design. There is no signature, but there are many red seals at the corners of the painting and on the mounting, as well as a very large seal at the top centre of the painting.

Signature and two seals of the artist, dates unknown, on the left-hand side of the image. Attached at the top is a silk tie for tying and a cord for hanging.
