Print depicting a kneeling woman wearing a parka with her back to the viewer. The woman is holding a scraper in one hand and a fish in the other. There is a child standing beside the woman, and the child is holding a knife. The name of the printmaker is printed in Inuit syllabics along with the Cape Dorset stylized red igloo seal in the upper left-hand corner. Below the image is written, "Mother and child with fish Stone Cut 41/50 Dorset 1977 Napachie" with the name of the artist written in Inuit syllabics. The Canadian Eskimo Arts Council blind embossed stamp is in the lower right-hand corner.
