Interior demonstrates eight different glazes, arranged in triangular sections with points meeting at centre. Bottom of base has writing identifying all the interior test glazes. Base is signed by artist with makers mark(?) Parts b-i are eight small rectangular slabs of clay testing various glazes. All have small holes punctured at top; (b-d) have leaf designs, (i) has a star and (g) has a clover design.

Rim is raised and unglazed. Underside of lid has red glaze and a circular pattern.

Tall jar with slightly flared sides and a wide neck. Has a light grey glaze with brown spots. Foot and rim are unglazed. Lid (part b) that tapers upward with a central, hollowed knob. Rim is unglazed.

Tall, deep bowl that is red-brown with dark brown applied designs. Exterior is decorated with three rows of vertical applied designs in the shape of beans, and one top row of horizontal bean-shaped applied designs. Interior is glazed red-brown, undecorated. The sides of the bowl are flared and the foot is unglazed. Base is signed by artist.
