Tale of a Huge Muskox3123/8

Stonecut stencil. A figure sits astride a large hill in the shape of a muskox. Figure wears a parka with hood raised (hiding face), short pants, and tall boots. His mittened hands are raised to either side. He sits on the back of the animal, close to horns made of trees, with large, lashed eye, and snout rising into the air. At bottom is a well-defined leg and hoof. The muskox is densely covered with thin lines in black with areas of dark green.

Drawing depicting three foxes, two figures, and an igloo. Top half of the drawing depicts a blue sky and the bottom half depicts a yellow ground. Drawing depicting three polar bears. One polar bear is situated at the top centre of the image. It is standing on top of a land mass, coloured in by a many thin lines, and is seen from a bird's eye view. Below this polar bear is a view in profile of two polar bear heads extending from land masses. One polar bear is on the left side of the image on a brown piece of land, which has a yellow ovoid shape attached to its right side. Four spears pierce this yellow shape. Another polar bear is on the right side of the image on a blue piece of land, possibly snow or ice, which has a brown ovoid shape attached to its left side. Four spears pierce this brown shape. Underneath the yellow and brown ovoid shapes is a blue shape.

Drawing depicting a polar bear and two figures throwing weapons. A polar bear sits within a large hill on the left side of the image. Only the bear's head and arm are visible. Two spears pierce the side of the land, while the bear holds a spear. Another spear flies through the air toward the bear. On the right side of the image is another, smaller hill with two small human figures in parkas sitting on top. Only their heads and arms are visible, and each hand holds a spear. Between the hills is a small body of water and a piece of land with eight small houses with red roofs.

Stonecut print of black image of boat with animals in profile. Boat has one sail and large propellor at stern, and anchor hanging from prow. One dog is steering the ship and one is standing right at the prow. The heads of five other animals are shown in the boat and another is on the mast lookout. The Cape Dorset marks are upper left of the image. Inscription in pencil below.

An airplane with a figure in the doorway, a ladder descends from the doorway to a standing figure on the ground. There is a figure in the lower left and a cairn. Pencil inscription along bottom reads; "Thoughts of home lithograph 5/30 Dorset 1975 Pudlo." Stamped with the names of artist in Inuit syllabics. Canadian Eskimo Arts Council stamp of approval and Cape Dorset stamp blind embossed in lower right corner. The print is hinged to white mat board.

Forward facing angel with face in middle, large wings to each side with outer edges in solid colour, lower edges in zigzag, centre of each contains four u shapes, one above the other. A cross shape appears below neck. Upper edges of wings decorated with semi-circle patterns. Pencil inscription below image reads: "Arctic angel stonecut 49/50 Dorset 1969 Pudlo." On reverse: "1263/386." Stamped with names of artist and printmaker in Inuit syllabics in monogram form with red Cape Dorset stylized igloo above name of artist. The print is hinged to white mat board.
