Rectangular form of fine white porcelain: vertical sides first swell from low unglazed foot, then curve in slightly at rim; indented corners. Pattern: divided diagonally from point near upper-right corner to point near lower-left corner; area to left glazed in glossy red-brown, which wraps from the inside over the outside surface to top of foot; area to right painted in underglaze blue with a landform supporting a composition of bamboo, pine, and prunus, with a cloud form above; on each of the two adjacent outside surfaces a motif of two cash with ribbons in underglaze blue; all shapes rendered with dark blue outlines filled with light blue washes; all covered in a minutely pitted white glaze. On glazed base, well rendered underglaze blue characters read 'Dai men nen sai' meaning 'Made in the Ming Dynasty' (Chinese dynasty, 1368-1644). Junction between brown and white glazes marred on outside by a grey-brown splotch extending over foot to base; repaired crack running through sidewall in area of landform painting.

Eight-lobed Kakiemon style dish, everted lip, fine white porcelain body: low foot rim unglazed; base glazed, only two spur marks apparent, underglaze blue line at junction with foot. Interior: blossom spray on bottom asymmetrically placed, outlined and painted in underglaze blue, separated from walls by double underglaze blue lines; walls have scattered landform shapes in overglaze enamels, blue, green, and yellow as well as red prunus blossoms; double underglaze blue lines at lip. Exterior walls: double underglaze blue lines at junction with foot, and one above; scattered overglaze blue blossoms, outlined in black.

An octagonal ceramic jar with a flat base, shoulders that slope sharply to short collar and a wide mouth. Heavy porcelaneous body is slipped in white. Painted in dark brown on one facet with five characters, below which is an oval cartouche, and from these, there is a peony spray of dark brown leaves with lighter brown flowers, spreading horizontally over two adjoining panels. Both cartouche outline and flower petals are emphasized with incising through to the under lying slip. All beneath an over all heavy transparent glaze. An even network of crackling shows extensive light purple and brown staining.
