Intricately carved wooden pipe. Carved in the form of a single large human figure (tiki) wearing a headdress with raised X designs. A moveable cover for the bowl is made from the body of a reclining tiki figure, and is attached to the pipe by fibre.
Large bundle of plaited coconut husk fibre(?). Cord is loosely coiled into a bundle. (Small piece of tape with collector number adhered to cord.)
Small coconut nutshell with a hollowed-out interior. Two small holes are bored into top. A small piece of tape is adhered to the shell with the collector's number written on it.
Half of a coconut nutshell with a hollowed-out interior. The interior has red marks throughout. An 'H' is carved into the shell, and a small piece of tape is adhered to the shell with the collector's number written on it.
Small woven grass bag with a shallow pouch. The unwoven ends extend down, forming a long fringe. Some blue decorations are attached. Two long plaited cords of coconut fibre(?) are knotted to form a handle. A small piece of tape is adhered to the handle with letters 'I.F.' written on it.
Large expandable fish net consisting of fine knotted fibre, which gives it a diamond-shaped pattern. The net is gathered on one end giving it a cone-shape.
Small tackle box (tuluma) with lid. The container is somewhat cylindrical, tapering in slightly towards top. A small rope of sennit is attaches the lid to the body, and runs through the holes in the container's handles and small handle on the lid. There is a large rectangular label on the side with a hand-written message.
Rectangular basket with outer rim of reed(?), bent to shape. Basket's exterior is woven in thin strips of grass, alternating between a dark and light brown, in geometric designs: rows of zigzags, lines, waves. The basket weave is bound to the rim by twisted fibre, which is looped over the reed. The interior is woven with slightly larger strips of fibre, but in a simpler pattern, and with only a few undyed strands woven in. The bottom of the basket is damaged, exposing the leaves(?) within.
Rectangular basket with low sides. The exterior is woven with thin strips of grass with alternating off-white and reddish-brown checks and zigzags. The weaving continues over the handle. The interior is woven with a standard basket weave of large strips of undyed reed or plant fibre. The rim of the basket and the handle appear to be made of strips of grass, and the base is woven from large strips of grass. (Note: basket has undergone repairs since the photo was taken.)
Small coconut container in a woven carrier. The coconut is hollowed-out, and has a hole at the top. The coconut is nestled between two woven rings, and then held in place by horizontal and vertical weaving. A handle is attached to the top of the carrier. A small piece of tape is adhered to the side of the coconut with the collector's number on it.
