The piece is hollow and was moulded, the centre seam is visible along all sides. Hole in top centre of head, with a black plastic plug.

Hat3619/1 c

Part of a three piece gbariye (also see 3619/1 a-b). Hat has a circular top and straight sides that flare out slightly towards base. Background is white, with dark blue-purple diagonal lines overtop. Darker and wider diagonal lines cross others throughout; blue-purple thread is metallic. White and dark gold embroidery across top of hat, and around opening. Embroidery on top consists of central sun-like design with concentric circles around it; scallops and loops along edges of circles. Border design around opening consists of alternating knot and sun-like design. Interior of hat is lined with white cotton.

Pants3619/1 b

Part of a three piece gbariye (also see 3619/1 a and c). White pants with wide waistline that taper to narrow legs; made up of strips of cloth stitched together along the long edges. Background of strips is white, with silver and dark blue stripes overtop; threads are metallic. Openwork bands, made up of repeating crosses, along lengths of strips at varying distances. Heavy dark grey embroidery around leg openings, and along lower half of outer seam. Designs are an assortment of curvilinear, circular, and geometric motifs; together they form a crown-like pattern. Seam pockets on either side of waist, along front of pants. Small opening at front centre of waistline, for fastening and tightening pants.

Robe3619/1 a

Part of a three piece gbariye (also see 3619/1 b-c). Sleeveless white robe with large arm openings; robe flares out underneath the arms. Robe consists of strips of cloth stitched together along the long edges. Background of strips is white, with silver and dark blue stripes overtop; threads are metallic. Openwork bands, made up of repeating crosses, along lengths of strips at varying distances. Heavy embroidery around neck opening and across chest; done in pink and grey. Circular neck opening, with split, is trimmed with wide border made up of bands of swirls; edges of border are scalloped. Three flower-like designs frame bottom edge of neck opening on front; diamond, made up of swirls, frames bottom edge of neck opening on back. Two slits cut into either side of the chest; surrounded by identical borders and flower-like designs. Interior of robe is unlined.
