Oval-shaped, white mask with two eye holes, a nose and a large mouth. Green paint around the eyes, red nostrils and mouth, and black brows. Evidence of black paint above top lip and on cheeks. There are three nails, one on the top and two on the sides of the back of the mask that attach a fibre string.

Mask consisting of a large duck-like carving, with a face mask hanging from its front, attached by wires. The mask is white with green around they eyes and in a scalloped pattern around the mouth, red lips and nostrils, and red and black oval shapes at the centre of the forehead. The bird has an unpainted beak with red painted borders, green around the eyes, and a white head and neck with an unpainted back.

Mask with acute angle overall, heavy brow, hooked nose with flared nostrils, and closed mouth. The mask is painted white overall with black curved lines on the forehead, heavy black brows, green around the eyes with a scalloped edge at the bottom, red on the temples, black over the bridge of the nose, red nostrils, red and black designs on the cheeks, a black scalloped gill design around the mouth, a black chin and moustache, and red lips.

Great Raven MaskA8545

Great Raven Hamsiwe’ mask. The large, carved, wooden mask has a long beak with large red, coil-shaped nostrils, with a red and white split u-form behind it. The mouth is red with two braided cedar handles on each side. The beak is black with large u-forms outlined in white along the edge of the mouth. The bottom part of the beak is hinged with large diamond shaped pieces of metal. The face has white split u-forms behind the eyes along with a white wing-like shape. The bulging eyes are black, outlined in white and red on a white ovoid shaped ground; brow is black. The underside of the beak is black with an ovoid shaped pink face with black brow, moustache and eyes along with red nostrils and mouth. Emerging from the top of the head is an elongated, protruding rounded section painted with white u-forms. The face is decorated with small cedar bundles; large cedar handles on bottom of beak. The inside of the mask is hollow with the exception of a piece of fibre twine that articulates the beak and two leather straps with metal buckles to hold the mask to the wearer. Attached at the top ridge is a dyed cedar rope and a rubber crest of u-shaped pieces painted red. The left side has a thick braid of cedar. The mask is painted black, white and red.

Crab PuppetA4104

Supernatural ground crab puppet. Wooden carved figure depicting a crustacean with four bent legs on each side of the body and two claws on either side of the face. Inside the hollowed-out interior is a spool, which attaches to two spools of string: when pulled, these would allow a person to cause the figure to scuttle along. The figure is painted in brown with black and white details.

Warrior dance knife, or baton in the form of Sisiutl. Central face is yellow with green and black eye features, white teeth and red nostrils and lips. The neck of both heads at either end of the sisiult are white, green, and black. The wolf-like heads at each end of the knife have a white curl at the top of the head, have white teeth, a red nose and mouth, and have yellow accents.

Painted wooden mask with a loon perched on the head. The mask has small round eyes, gill slits, a large nose and mouth with protruding front teeth in black, green, orange and white. The loon has spreadable wings, a metal tongue and is tied onto the top of the mask.
