FigureEdz1396

A figure of a four-legged creature with its head bent downward. There are eyes, a snout, a mouth, and ears. Three horns protrude from the back of the head. Five round semi-circular protrusions are along the back. The tail curls upward and outward. Its back right leg is bent while its back left leg is angled forward and its two front legs are relatively straight. The feet have hooves. The shoulder areas are rounded as are the hind quarters which has a curled line design on its left side. The middle section of the body is smaller than the rest.

Rectangular, woven tapestry of a colourful bouquet of flowers against a brown ground. The flowers sit in a silver bowl, wrapped with a ribbon saying "truth prevails". The bouquet sits upon a table, containing a bird's nest with eggs and a shell. Carved into the edge of the table are two shell and one cross motifs. Along the bottom edge are the Roman numerals MCMXC (1990). The back is unlined.

Remnants of red, orange and brown paint remain on surface: orange on the saddle decorations; red on the hair and tail; brown on the rest of the body. Possible remnants of gold enamel on the hoofs. Figure stands on a flat, rectangular clay slab. (External mount for support.)
