Oba's head in bead collar and headdress; fragment of a rattle-staff. The eyes are large, the nose is fairly flat, and there is a mouth, and ears. The front of the neck and the top of the forehead, are carved with rounded petal-like protrusions. At the figure's right side, there is a single vertical braid of hair while at the figure's left side there are two vertical braids of hair. The headdress is rounded with a pattern of tiny square protrusions and it is decorated with a feather at each side.

A xylophone (part a) with a slightly elongated trapezoid shape, and having a double frame. On top of the double frame, there are nine flat rectangular wood pieces parallel in association with each other in a row. In between the double frame, there are nine gourd fruits. Assembled together with string, and skin. (Wood cut to shape, strung together.) There are two sticks (parts b and c).

Oba's (ruler's) head with Oba's bead headdress and collar. The face has large eyes, a nose, and two lips. The rounded headdress has a horizontal brick-like pattern and is decorated with a flat protrusion curving upward and forward, and having curved grooves and ridges at each side. A set of four spikes is at each side of the head at the bottom ends of these flat curving protrusions.

Nicoya polychrome, round-bodied clay vessel with three short bulging legs and a straight upright rim. The straight upright rimis painted with a red and black geometric pattern. The legs are painted with black 'S''s, 'x''s, and dots around the bulging area which is separated from the straight black vertical lines along the bottom area with a horizontal red band. The body of the vessel has a protruding face outlined with a red and black sun-like patterned design. The two arms curve inward in an S-shape, mirroring each other, allowing the hands to rest on the belly near the middle.

Belen incised ware, half-rounded clay bowl with three legs. Each leg is shaped with a head that has round ears, the eyes cut out, a protruding nose, a mouth cut out and open at both sides to show teeth but closed at the front. There is a ball within each leg.

Nicoya polychrome hollow clay figure crouched at the knees. The large head has eyes that are painted black, upraised eyebrows with a black paint line, a nose painted with black vertical lines above black circular lines, and an open oval mouth with a round black tongue, and a red mouth area. Ears are painted red with black circle earrings. Two bumps which are dotted all around and are outlined with red and black are on the head above the brow line, and have a diagonal wavy line in between them. Shoulders are decorated with black line design. Figure's left arm is resting on the respective knee, and figure's right arm is bent inward so that the hand is touching the throat. Red belly button outlined with black. Black knees with horizontal lines beneath and six black toes on each foot. Red geometric rectangular lines decorate the lower half of the body at the back. There is a hole at the back.

Model KayakA2.528 a-k

Model kayak made of mottled brown skin stretched over a wooden frame (part a). A parka-clad figure with face and hands made from carved walrus tusk (?) sits in the cockpit. Parts b--j are various model harpoons and gaffing devices--all made from wood, tusk, metal, and skin--strapped to the top of the kayak with skin straps. Also included is a dark brown model seal bladder float (part k) attached to the kayak via a skin harpoon line tucked underneath the human figure's right arm.

Wearing a headdress which has three tall vertical pieces surrounded at the bottom with a large horizontal band wrapped around them. Rounded nose with a nose ring. Large circular earrings.

A red figure sitting hunched over with knees folded under. The arms are folded out in front with the palm of the hands resting to the side of the stomach underneath the breast which have a sun-like design. Large curved back. Hair carved with grooved lines to form a widow's peak. Ears are rounded circular knobs. Curved line and curved dotted line decorate the cheek areas.
