Drawing2811/137

Children's drawing on legal size off-white paper. The top left of the page contains an inscription that reads "¿como era la vida en el salvador". A pink, orange, and brown building has been drawn below this inscription, and the building contains a large human figure flanked on either side by a purple rectangle. Each purple rectangle contains a small orange human figure. This scene inside of the building may represent a parent with their two children in their beds. A large, multicoloured, oblong object has been drawn to the right of the building, and this likely represents a body of water. There are two figures in the object itself, and four figures standing along the edge of the object. The orange figure is holding an object that appears to be a gun. A large green flower has been drawn in the right corner of the page.

The scenes, from the top left corner to the bottom right corner, are as follows: flying to Mexico from El Salvador, arriving in Mexico, meeting with people in front of a large building, a figure watching television, a figure dreaming about his family, figures going to the cinema, three figures learning at a school, a cityscape, and a scene at the zoo. On the reverse, a sheet of lined paper measuring 22 cm x 16 cm has been taped in two corners to the back of the cardboard. This sheet describes the drawing in Spanish. Drawing2811/118

Children's drawing on legal size off-white paper. The top of the page contains an inscription in pencil that reads "mourtes 18 de octubre de 1983". Below this text is a house coloured green, yellow, and blue. A scene involving a camp and a river has been drawn below this house. This scene contains a red and blue truck, a soldier dressed in green carrying a gun, seven small buildings or tents, and seven human figures drawn in pencil. Below this group of seven figures is a diagonal blue band, which likely represents a river. The words "Manuel Conpomentos" have been written just above the blue river, and the word "Manuel" has also been written in large letters at the bottom of the page. The word "Manuel" may refer to the artist, while the word "Conpomentos" may be a misspelling of the Spanish word for camp, "campamentos". The reverse of the page contains two simple shapes resembling buildings or tables, and the word "conpometos" has been written to the right of them.
