AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Date Range: 1903 Diagnostic Base Mark: Valve Mark Neck Finish: Automatic Machine One brown glass beer bottle with round base and crown finish. Post mold bottom with circular seam near center of base and seam mold extending up either side of bottle through the top of the finish. Suction scar on base indicative of Owens Bottle Machine. Maker's Mark embossed just above base: R102 Dried substance and abrasions on outside of bottle. J. Dougherty 03/01/2010

AMEC Analysis: Part: Finish Years (min): 1902 Years (max): 1913 Neck Finish: Crown Manufacture Method: Hand-made (finish only) Comments: The metal cap is still attached to the bottle. One green glass bottle fragment with intact neck and crown finish. Cap remains on neck. Two mold seams run up opposite sides, similar to an automatic machine-made bottle. Metal on cap is corroded. Two vertical mold seams extend to the edge of the base and to .75" from the finish. Base mark (possibly a valve mark) indicates automatic manufacture. Maker's Mark embossed on base: ARMOUR & CO PACKERS CHICAGO Object broken into three fragments. Cracks on body of largest fragment. Dried substance present on inside and outside of bottle. J. One small clear glass bottle with blake base and prescription finish. Embossing includes: (On base) W. T. CO C U. S. A (On front) SWIFT'S PHARMACY PRESCRIPTIONS 2ND AVE & PIKE STREET SEATTLE, WASH. Maker's Mark dates indicates production by Whitall Tatum Company in Millville, NJ (1901-1938). Two fragments missing from the corner of the base. Multiple cracks extending up roughly half of body. (On front) Lee's Pharmacy ALASKA BUILDING SEATTLE. WASH. Maker's Mark dates indicates production by Whitall Tatum Company in Millville, NJ (1901-1938). Two small fragments missing from rim. AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Comments: Date code is embossed on the base. One brown glass medical bottle with round base and finish similar to bead and pharmaceutical finishes. Finish is similar to a pharmaceutical finish, but has a rounded outside surface, though not as round as bead finish. Post bottom mold. Seam molds include: circular post bottom mold seam on base and two vertical side seams extending up bottle to middle of neck. Empressed Maker's Mark on base reads: E.L. & CO 23 Dried substance present on inside and outside of bottle with some iridescence on outside. Bubbles present in glass. One small circular chip on side about 1/4 of the way up the body of the bottle and at the intersection of the cup bottom seam and vertical seam mold. Small crack beginning about 9/10 inch above base on side of bottle. J. Dougherty 03/10/2010
