The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Dark red and white chert point, with two basal notches forming two barbs and a contracting stem. Cross-section is plano-convex, and outline is roughly triangular with slightly convex margins. J. Fisher, 02/19/03
Red chert barbed point with irregular barbs and nearly absent stem. J. Fisher, 02/19/03
Black obsidian point, triangular in shape, with two well-formed notches in the side, forming a slightly expanding stem. J. Fisher, 02/19/03
Dark-red chert point with two basal notches (shallow) forming small barbs. Point is triangular with roughly equal sides, and slightly serrated. J. Fisher, 02/19/03
Brown chert biface, flaked by percussion, but not completely symmetrical. Base appears shouldered on one side, but may be incidental. Relatively thick ( ~ 1.0cm) and not quite lenticular. J. Fisher, 02/19/03
Broken into two conjoining pieces, with a small fragment missing. The mid-sized point is made on a flat pebble with minimal shaping around the margins, leaving approximately 85% of surface cortical. Base is shouldered with a square-stem. Measurements are for the conjoined piece. J. Fisher, 02/19/03
White chalcedony biface. It is triangular, with a convex base and a lenticular cross-section, made from nearly-regular parallel pressure flaking. One corner of base has small fracture, likely done during manufacture. Very likely a unnotched (incomplete?) projectile point. Label reads: "Arrowhead Whidbey Island, Washington White Chalcedony Whilliam Sherman December 12-1944 A1-l" J. Fisher, 02/19/03
Medium brown chert with white veins. Biface is stemmed, formed by a single shoulder on one margin. Randomly pressure flaked, and lenticular in cross-section. Sides are slightly convex, and base is convex. Label reads: "Brown/White Agate Knife. Locality: River Beach, Section 20, Kittitas County, Washington. found april 1951 by Frank Davis. Purchased by Robert Y. Pratt from Harry Ankenny, 5/51. nstx-p." J. Fisher, 02/19/03
Translucent pink chalcedony point, roughly and randomly pressure flaked, with shallowly formed shoulders. Base has a very shallow, single notch. Point is slightly plano-convex near tip. Label included reads: "Light buff Chalcedony Scraper, Locality: river Beach, Section 20 Kittitas County, Washington. found April 1951 by Frank Davis. Purchased by Robert Y. Pratt 5/51 from Harry Ankenny. mttx-p." J. Fisher, 02/19/03
A white translucent biface with a slightly convex and roughly triangular base. Biface is thick, but almost lenticular, and lumpy in a few locations. Randomly pressure-flaked. Label included reads: "Arrowhead Whidbey Island, Washington White Chalcedony Collected by William B. Engle (Burton Engle's Grandfather)" J. Fisher, 02/19/03
