Temple RepresentationN2.972 a-b

A red lacquer model temple (part a) with a roof (part b). The temple (part a) has three sides closed with glass and one shaped arch opening surrounded by a fence along both sides which leave an opening in front of the shaped arch opening and on its opposite side. The roof (part b) tapers upward along all four sides to a smaller square top at the centre. There is a bronze bell at each of the four corners of the roof (part b).

DaggerK4.295 a-b

Dagger (part a) and wooden sheath (part b). The dagger has a long metal blade that has been inserted into a wooden handle decorated with a burnt design of rows of dots alternating with solid bands that run the length of the handle. There is a metal ferrule at the top of the handle. The sheath mimics the form of the blade with a semicircular finial at the point, and a semi-cylindrical protrusion on one side. The sheath is decorated with burnt solid bands on both sides, and the semicircular finial has been burnt to a dark brown finish.

The oval eyes have a horizontal slit in between them surrounded by a grooved outline. The arms are resting at the sides. Geometric design is carved on the downward pointing triangular chest, the flat curving arms, and the top of the head. Has genatalia, rounded buttocks, and kness. Standing on a circular base.
