Three bent figures in a row, each wearing a sarong and holding a hoe with both hands. The figure at the centre is wearing a sarong with a bottom border of a zigzag line with two horizontal bands, the figure to the central figure's right is wearing a sarong with horizontal lines, and the figure to the central figure's left is wearing a sarong decorated with dotted horizontal lines. The figures are standing on a base that is rectangular with the shortest sides slightly curved, is divided in three by two lines, and is decorated with triangles on the side and front edges. The designs and areas with a dark brown finish have been burnt to produce the dark brown colour.

Short stool carved from a single piece of wood. Circular seat and four triangular legs pierced in a long elbow hole. Holes burned over surface, forming a linking cross pattern on legs and large cross in circle on seat. Black and red paint on bottom of seat and on legs.

BowlK4.192 a-d

Two black-stained bowls fitted together with the smaller bowl (part b) on top of the larger bowl (part a). The smaller, upper bowl has a lid (part c) as does the larger, lower bowl (part d). Main design of the bowls consists of three horizontal incised parallel lines which comprise thin rectangles around the sides. The lid of the upper bowl has a carved knob supported by four angular extensions. The lid of the lower bowl is carved with a circular inset space on the top, providing a circular platform into which the circular base of the smaller, upper bowl can fit.

Carved brown wood figure wearing a conical hat with his hands resting on his front hips. Face is carved with oval eyes, eyelashes, a nose, an open mouth with teeth. Three vertical grooved marks on each side of the face start from the eyes and go down the neck. Wearing black boots. Body painted with white chalky paint, as used among the Yoruba and Ibo.
