Wooden, five prong comb; three of the prongs are longer. The top, handle, is rectangular in shape with a circular piece on the top middle. There are three vertical incisions. The surrounding area is decorated with an interwoven line design. Back has simple linear decoration. Front is signed ‘R. Rie’. Remnants of blue detailing.

Irregular wood piece that bends at an angle while tapering at one end. Both ends have a knob around which string and bark cording are attached. Linear design in black consists of two horizontal bands around either end and pair of circles with tapering ovals around the natural elbow-like features where the piece bends at an angle.

Cylindrical container with a lid (part b) and tobacco within. The container (part a) has an intricate engraved geometric and plant design is over the bamboo case and consists of the following designs from top to bottom: vertical lines above semi-circles; diamond shapes that have horizontal lines within; plant-like swirls; interconnected swirls; plant-like swirls; diamond shapes that have horizontal lines within; and vertical lines below semi-circles. Bound at each end with dark brown-black horn bands. The cap (part b) has a worn geometric pattern of triangles with a knob at the top. Design is emphasized with dark pigment.
