A light thin bamboo grass knife that is carved, and decorated with a zig zag and a tooth pattern edge along the handle which has a dark "basket weave" pattern on a natural light-coloured background. The end of the handle has a finial carved in the form of a bird head. The wide blade tapers to a blunt point.

The cane shaft is carved without linear designs. The base of the shaft, near the pointed end, is wrapped with fibre. The long hardwood point is plain dark wood.
