Skirt made of two panels of shiny coral pink brocade with a woven overall pattern in white of gingko flowers and leaves. The skirt is open at the back and overlaps when tied. The panels are pleated and inserted into a band of unbleached cotton, the upper edge of which is scalloped, with the points of the scallops meeting the ends of two shoulder straps of the same material. At the ends of the band are long ties of the same material.

Woman's jacket, or blouse, made of greenish-gold sheer silk with small peacock feather motif in grey. There is a narrow facing or collar of white cloth-covered paper around the neck. The left outer facing is rounded at the lower edge, while the right is straight and projects beyond the front edge. Long sleeves that curve upwards at the wrists. The centre opening has front panels that overlap to the right when tied closed with two long wide ties. One small white tie is attached to the right inner facing with a corresponding tie on the left underarm seam. The inside lining is a loosely woven, sheer white fabric, through which edges of an interfacing can be seen.

Upper body garment made of lightweight grey silk gauze patterned with roundels of bats surrounding a circular form of wide lines forming an even cross with arms curving around and bent inwards. The gauze fabric has an overall pattern of small rectangles. The garment is lined with loosely woven white silk. The long sleeves are inset with straight seams. The seam of the sleeves, under the arms, has a pronounced convex curve, narrowing to the wrist. The body of the garment curves downwards to the centre front. It opens at the front, and the front edges are extended with panels extending down from the mid-point of the outer facing. The front panels overlap to the left when closed. The left side has a small fabric triangle attached where the outer facing meets the front edge. The left outer facing is rounded at the lower edge, while that on the left is straight and projects beyond the front edge of the garment. On the right side a small square fabric tab is attached. There is also a narrow facing or collar of white shiny paper, which is partially detached and broken in many places.

Circular brooch with two rows of cutouts, outer row of diamond-shaped cutouts and inner one of circles. Engraved arrows point inwards from outer edge. There are crosses between rows of cutouts, and engraved wavy lines surround central cutout. Cross-pin secured through hole. Maker’s mark.

The band opens at the front and the front seam is left unstitched near the top. Skirt is made to be worn under a jacket (2535/5).

Man’s jacket of fine white cotton fabric lined with white cotton gauze. Jacket is waist-length and flares slightly from the top. The centre front opening has inset panels on both sides that overlap when the garment is worn. The V neckline is edged on the outside and inside with facings. The facing has a rounded lower corner on the left side and a square corner on the right with a pointed edge project beyond the inside edge of the jacket. Centred on the end of the left facing is a long, wide ribbon tie made of the same fabric, with a corresponding tie sewn to the mid-point of the jacket on the right. The V neck is finished with a white narrow white cotton collar or facing. There is a centre back seam. The long sleeves are set in with a straight seam and a convex curve on the lower edge, narrowing to the wrist. The inner lining is white cotton. Jacket made to be worn with pants and coat (2535/1-2).

Pants2535/1

Trousers made of white cotton gauze lined with white cotton. The trousers have a wide, straight waistband from which the legs angle out in a wide V. There is a continuous seam on the inner edge of the legs and rounded crotch and second seams, front and back, about one third of the width away from the centre seam. An additional seam, front and back, angles from about four centimeters away from the centre of the crotch to one of the leg seams. There is an additional seam from the crotch to the waistband on both sides. Both outer shell and lining are constructed the same way, and are joined with invisible seams. Pants were to be worn with jacket and coat (2535/2-3).
