Sake container (part c) with two scrolling decorative elements on the top, six ornamental brass bosses at each end, and one brass ring as well as a protruding stopper (part d) with a polyhedron finial that has a brass ring on one side face. There is a recessed cavity at each end. Black lacquer with red lacquer edges on the sides and top edges of the scrolling decorative elements, and the polyhedron finial is composed of black laquer square faces joined by red lacquer equilateral triangular faces with a black lacquer shaft.

Sake ContainerN2.335 a-b

Sake container. Cylindrical and slightly tapered from top to bottom, with a metal handle on the side. The container's staves are held together with twisted bands of bamboo, two at the top and three at the bottom, and lid has a plugged opening. A stopper (part b), also a tapered cylinder, fits into a hole in the top of the container near the edge. The top of the container is red lacquer with a black lacquer edge, and the sides as well as the bamboo are stained reddish-brown and coated in varnish.

Buddha, in the position of "calling the earth to witness" (bhumisparsha mudra). Made of lath covered with plaster and fabric, on a wooden base. Finished in gold leaf and lacquer. The hair has textured blue conical shapes and has a top bun. The eyes are looking downward with multiple thin curving lines for the eyebrows above. The face has a closed red mouth and long ear lobes. The body is draped in clothing. The figure sits with crossed legs, left ankle under right ankle, the right hand rests on the right knee and the left hand rests in front, on the right leg, over the left ankle.

Spoon that has a small bowl with a long handle flattened at the butt end which has an incised design of a bird near the tip. The bird's head is in profile facing downward along the lower portion of the upper end of the handle. Bird has a circle in tapering oval in ovoid eye with a curved beak. Four pinched rectangular designs incised in decreasing size down along the lower portion of the handle from the beak. Has a two-feathered side wing and a four-feathered tail. Word 'SKAGWAY" is scratched on the back of the bowl.

Small, rectangular, flat, multi-coloured embroidered bag made by folding a wide piece of embroidered textile in half and seaming two edges, leaving one edge and a side slit open. The bag is embellished on each side with a large, complex, curvilinear, naturalistic floral motif, using several kinds of embroidery stitches. The opening of the bag is embellished with seven rows of small geometric border patterns, and the bottom of the bag has a border of small paisley motifs. The stitchery is worked on dark red silk, backed with pink and tan striped cotton textile.

Bag with a rectangular shape and embroidered with two large v-shaped geometric forms, worked in very fine, dense cross-stitch on both sides of the bag. The sides and opening each have a geometric border. The repeated designs on the bag are identical in shape to each other, but differ in colour. A length of yellow and black decorative braided cord is attached to one corner of the opening; a tassel made of silk cord trimmed with white glass beads is sewn to the end of the cord. Lined with dark red cotton.
