Wooden Insulator Peg45KI765/P9-22

AMEC Analysis: Comments: This is a wooden insulator mount 9 inches in length and 1 3/8 inches wide (at the base). It is flared to 1 5/8 inches wide at its midsection then tapers to 1 inch. The distal 2 5/8 inches has screw-grooves to mount a glass insulator. One wooden insulator peg like those described in (http://www.insulatorstore.com/vintage_wooden_pin.asp). Object has 9 threads separated by .25" each. Wood is beginning to split, especially at larger end. Threaded end is worn. L. Penttila 3/1/2010

Cue Fragment, Wood45KI765/P9-21

AMEC Analysis: Comments: This is a distal portion of a billiards cue - it appears snapped off to 12 1/2 inches in length. There is no tip. One terminal fragment of a game cue with brass and leather tip. Several cracks, especially near the tip-end. Object warped along length giving a slightly bowed appearance. L. Penttila 3/1/2010

AMEC Analysis: Comments: This is the distal portion of a billiards cue - sawed off to 15 7/8 inches in length. The cue is complete with a brass and leather tip. One wood cue fragment. AMEC Analysis: Years (min): 1820 Years (max): 1900 Comments: This is a square-headed nail with a square body. It is bent, but would likely be 3 1/4 inches in length. It is a type B cut nail with an age range of 1820 to 1900 (Visser 1996). One square cut iron nail. Severely corroded. Surfaces are exfoliating with significant loss of material. L. Penttila 3/1/2010
