The folded hat is black and rectangular with a rounded top piece, a back flap and embroidered motifs. The hat has a black centre panel which folds inwards on both sides. Embroidered on the centre panel are pink and white peonies with green leaves and yellow swirls. These designs are repeated on the inside of both side folds. The rounded top piece has pink peonies with green leaves and orange swirls. Hanging down from the top piece on either side of the centre panel is a red streamer. On the back, the flap mimics the rounded top piece and extends down past the bottom of the folded centre panel, flaring out at the bottom. In the centre of the flap is a large pink and white peony. Surrounding the flower is a circle of gold scroll designs and pink and yellow peonies with green leaves. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard.

The folded hat is light brown and rectangular with a rounded top piece curling down on either side. The hat has a light brown centre panel which folds inwards on both sides. Embroidered on the centre panel are two pink peonies with green leaves and gold swirls and a pink and red bat. On the inside of both side folds is a red peony with green leaves and gold swirls. The rounded top piece has pink and red peonies with green leaves and gold swirls. The curled ends have a small purple flower and an attached maroon tassel. The designs on the back of the hat mimic those on the front. There are pink and red peonies, green leaves, gold swirls and small purple flowers. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

The golden features, with added tusks, are repeated on the top piece of the back flap. Beneath the features in the centre of the flap is a large red symbol. Surrounding the symbol is a circle of pink and purple peonies, yellow scroll designs and green leaves. On the inside of the hat is ecru lining, stiffened with cardboard. Two ecru ties are attached.

Dark blue silk with diagonal bands of pink, turquoise and white flowers and leaves. White stitching appears to be incomplete.

Long, rectangular, brocade sash with circular crests, bamboo and geometric designs in gold, grey and brown. The sash appears predominantly gold and has selvedge edges.

White skirt (part b) with embroidered cross-stitch hem. The skirt has no waistband and an unfinished upper edge. The bottom hem is has an embroidered band with a black triangle motif on dark red ground and edged with blue. Above the band are figure, animal and floral motifs in red and black on white ground. The inside is unlined.

Deep purple kimono with designs on the lower front in the style of Iro tomesode (色留袖). The neck and centre opening are edged with a deep purple band. The sleeves are short with hanging panels and an opening under the arms. There are white crests on the upper front, back and back of both sleeves. The designs on the lower front have pine tree, floral and screen motifs in green, blue, cream, white and orange. It has five family crests or kamon (家紋) in the shape of ivy leaf known as tsuta (蔦). The bottom hem is padded with cotton. The upper lining is cream silk.

Red robe with embroidery. The robe has wide sleeves, side slits and side opening with ties. The front, back and sleeves have large roundels with yin-yang and pa kua symbols in gold surrounded by colourful cloud, bat and floral motifs on red ground. The scalloped borders around the neck, sleeves, sides and hem have colourful bat, peaches, butterfly and floral (chrysanthemum, orchid, prunus, peony) motifs on dark blue ground. The inside has blue cotton lining.

Gray, open weave robe with embroidery. The robe has a short standing collar, wide sleeves, side slits and centre opening with ribbon ties. The front, back and sleeves have scattered individual floral motifs and large roundels with several floral motifs in pink, red, yellow and green on gray ground. The sleeves have a wide border with floral motifs in blue and white on gray ground. The inside is unlined.
