AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Date Range: 1903-1920 Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Decoration: Embossed Comments: "Lee's Pharmacy Alaska Building Seattle, Wash." is embossed on the side. Mr. Lee operated this pharmacy from 1889 until 1914. One clear glass medical bottle with blake base and prescription finish. Embossing includes: (On base) W. T. CO U. S. A. (On front) Lee's Pharmacy ALASKA BUILDING SEATTLE. WASH. Maker's Mark dates indicates production by Whitall Tatum Company in Millville, NJ (1901-1938). Two small fragments missing from rim. Dried substance inside and outside of bottle. Iridescence on outside of bottle. J. Dougherty 03/22/2010

Medical Bottle, Glass45KI765/M-54

AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Comments: Date code is embossed on the base. One brown glass medical bottle with round base and finish similar to bead and pharmaceutical finishes. Finish is similar to a pharmaceutical finish, but has a rounded outside surface, though not as round as bead finish. Post bottom mold. Seam molds include: circular post bottom mold seam on base and two vertical side seams extending up bottle to middle of neck. Empressed Maker's Mark on base reads: E.L. & CO 23 Dried substance present on inside and outside of bottle with some iridescence on outside. Bubbles present in glass. One small circular chip on side about 1/4 of the way up the body of the bottle and at the intersection of the cup bottom seam and vertical seam mold. Small crack beginning about 9/10 inch above base on side of bottle. J. Dougherty 03/10/2010

Mold seams include: horizontal circular cup-bottom seam, two vertical seams extending up to within approx 1/2" of bottle finish, horizontal circular seam just above shoulder. Embossed Maker's Mark on base with image of owl sitting on crescent moon and text: TRADE MARK. Bubbles present in glass, including V bubbles. Dried substance present on inside and outside of bottle. Mold seams include: circular post-bottom mold seam on base with two very slight vertical mold seams extending up body. It is difficult to tell where vertical seams end. Embossed Maker's Mark on base: SNIDER'S CATSUP Dried substance and iridescence inside and outside of bottle. J. Dougherty 03/22/2010.

AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Bottle Type: Catsup Date Range: 1903 to 1920 Neck Finish: Lipping Tool One clear glass condiment bottle with round base and small mouth external thread finish. Post bottom mold. Mold seams include: side seams extending up through portion of finish and a circular seam on collar. Vertical ribbing from shoulder to base, non-ribbed portion 3.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall, likely location of label. Embossed Maker's Mark: CURTICE BROTHERS PRESERVES ROCHESTER, N.Y. AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Bottle Type: Condiment Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Comments: This is a pickle bottle with "H" and "530" embossed on the base. Seven fragments of one clear glass food bottle with polygon base and wide patent finish. Faceted body up to shoulder. Wide patent finish indicative of bottles holding condiments, oils or other food. Side mold seams extend beyond faceting to mid-neck. Largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-43a, second largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-43b, third largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-43c, fourth fragment labeled 45KI765/M-43d, three smallest fragments bagged together and labeled 45KI765/M-43e. Base has embossed Maker's Mark: 630 H Dried substance on interior and exterior surfaces. J. Dougherty 03/22/2010 Bottle broken into two large pieces and two small pieces in between photography and cataloging at the Burke Museum. There were significant cracks in the bottle which likely caused breakage during movement of the box containing the complete bottle. K. Meyers 06/16/2010

One aqua glass mineral bottle that has been flattened and distorted. Maker's Mark (incomplete): ZAREMBI MINER SPRING SO SEAT L WA Probably made by Zarembo Mineral Co, Seattle. Bottles shape has been deformed. Exterior surface glass is covered with dried residue creating matte appearance. Red and pink accretions present on one side of exterior. Soda Bottle, Glass45KI765/M-38

AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Years (min): 1850 Years (max): 1920 Neck Finish: Lipping Tool Manufacture Method: Hand-made Post Bottom Comments: The neck and finish are broken, but the height is approximately 9 inches. Four fragments of a round aqua glass soda bottle with crown finish. Neck and two smaller pieces separate from main body. Seams indicate cup-bottom manufacture. Largest fragment labeled 45KI765/M-38a, second largest labeled 45KI765/M-38b, third largest labeled 45KI765/M-38c, smallest labeled 45KI765/M-38d. Maker's Mark embossed on front: GREEN LAKE SODAWORKS GREEN LAKE WASHINGTON And on base: 347 H Object is fragmented leaving jagged, fragile edges. In main body fragment cracks emanate from an impact point below the shoulder with two cracks extending over "GREEN LAKE" and a third extending down the undecorated back side of bottle. Cracks are approximately 1.5". L. Penttila 3/15/2010
