Ink (a) in the form of a male figure standing on a lobster (?), carrying a sword and dressed in an elaborate robe painted gold with green and blue details in the form of irises and characters representing happiness. The figure fits into a specially made rectangular wooden box composed of five walls (b) with a sliding front panel composed of a wooden frame (c) that holds a sheet of glass (d). The box is fitted with cardboard cut and bent to fit snugly around the ink figure and a base (e) that fits inside the box, all of which is covered in fibre with woven multicoloured floral patterns except for the back, which is red fabric.

Pair of parallelogram-shaped wooden plaques carved in high relief depicting two different outdoor scenes of an emperor and his guard. Colours are predominantly gold, green, red. Each plaque has a pierced brass handle attached on the back at the top for hanging; hanging handles feature ornate linear patterning.

Set of two ink slabs, both rectangular in shape with gilded Chinese characters in intaglio: (a) has three male figures in a landscape scene in low relief on one face, the fipside has a series of intaglio characters in gold with a seal-like box at the base, one of the sides has "MADE IN HONG KONG" in low relief characters, and the opposite side has a series of Chinese characters; (b) has a series of three gold intaglio Chinese characters on one face, and the reverse has a series of low relief Chinese characters.

Ceremonial HeaddressN1.303

A headdress with a high vertical rounded front and flat top sloping downward to the back which is a shorter vertical band. Frame is of wire covered with intricately interlaced bands of black silk braid and fabric. Attached to the headdress with wires, there are highly perforated and layered gold-coloured brass roundels in the shape of flowers and leaves, all inlaid with various shades of bright blue kingfisher feathers outlined with metal. On and around them, there are many ornaments mounted on wires which include the following: bats made of pearls, flowers made of pink glass, gemstones inset in metal, green stone butterflies, and a large roundel of pink quartz. From the front of the headdress, there are suspended strands of pearls with coloured stone butterflies in the middle and stone drops at the end.

The centres of the flowers are formed of circles of many wires with rounded ends, surrounding inset stones in blue, and green.

Collapsible fan with a band of black silk with a painted border of gold and white, a band of gold wood rectangles, and a band of green silk with a silver and gold border. The fan is supported by black bamboo ribs, each with a cut out triangle, and outer ivory ribs. Yelow cord with a green bead at the end is threaded through the ends of the ribs.

Three dimensional brass coloured figure sitting on the back of a four-legged animal. Animal figure is decorated with series of dots on legs, and human has series of dots near neck. There are two small rings attached to the top of the piece on either side of the figure and one ring attached to the bottom of the piece, directly under the sitting figure.
