Stone war club. Locality: White River Valley, WA.* Stone club, with serrated edges; rounded, flat handle with single beveled perforation 3.5 cm from center; groove incised in edge of handle, circumferentially; body of club diamond-shape in cross-section. Pumice stone carving.* Rougly flat, rectangular piece of vesicular basalt with a notch in one end, and a perforation in the other . A lengthwise groove in each face runs from the notch to the perforation (6/95). *Information is from the original accession ledger.
Pumice stone carving of an owl.* Effigy abrader -- human figure with six grooves along edge to create 2 arms, 2 legs, and a head. Two holes and a groove create eyes and a mouth. All grooves and holes contain traces of a red pigment (ochre?). Vesicular basalt. (6/95). *Information is from the original accession ledger.
