Geometric designs on all sides
Grey angular, boulder with large shallow rounded depression in one major surface.
Dark grey pebble, cylindrical in cross section and rectangular in plan view. Both ends are very battered with flake scars. Object may bet the central portion of maul/pestle.
Carved on one face.
Stone paint cup.* Groundstone tool/paint pot returned from Grant County Public Utility District, Wanapum Dam Heritage Center on January 25, 1995. These materials were originally sent to Grant County PUD for future exchange (see Borrower's Agreement - 1966), but the exchange papers were never drawn up. Since this material was only loaned, not deaccessioned, the Grant County PUD returned it to the Burke. (L. Phillips, 1/26/95). Two cups, one on each end. Ochre or some other red pigment adhering to surface (6/95). *Information is from the original accession ledger.
Canoe chisel. Locality: Washougal, Washington.* Monolithic adze, pestle-shaped with handle and cutting edge in one piece. Found at Washougal, Clark County, Wa. *Information comes from original accession ledger.
Rounded cobble represents about one half of a broken bowl fragment; contains part of rim, body, and base of bowl.(Object label is unstable; last digit (4?) is unclear. Catalog number is consistent with original field catalog.
