Mudstone Object, ovoid in cross section, roughly triangular in shape with incised design. The object is fragmentary. Illustrated in Carlson 1954.
Polished flat stone pieces; 7 malachite(?) pieces all emerald green with a lighter green concentric veining, 10 turquoise(?) pieces bluish green to pale green in color with veining, 6 opaque olive colored jade/jadeite (?) pieces, and 3 pieces of light green jade/jadeite(?) 2 of which are spherical in shape. 3 green jade/jadeite(?) pieces with lighter viening and incised with a geometric design (possibly all the same piece). Decorative artiodactyl long bone object carved along the metapodial groove. There are three wooden dowels or plugs (each approx. 2.4mm in diameter) on one side of the object.
Arched rectangle of bone. Somewhat smoothed edges. Half of convex side has 4 definite evenly spaced incised lines. Outer bone layer shows signs of delamination on convex side. Concave side smooth. Pinkish and red-brown coloring with polishing. B.Avery 10/31/2003.
