Found 999 items. Refine Search
The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Length of bone with two incisions running longitudinally through the bone.
Fragment; design could be a part of the "she who watches" motif
.5 cm thick, spots of discoloration, use wear.
Broken epiphyseal end. .
Only half exists; burnt. Although the last two digits written on this artifact have worn off, the artifact is most likely O-219, based on Butler's Field Catalog which lists only one ear spool for artifacts numbered from O-20 to O-29 and from O-200 to O-299. L.Phillips, 10/13/95
Carved curved lines on one side.
Fragment; design could be a part of the "she who watches" motif
Stone pestle (carved).* Nipple topped maul returned from Grant County Public Utility District, Wanapum Dam Heritage Center on January 25, 1995. These materials were originally sent to Grant County PUD for future exchange (see Borrower's Agreement - 1966), but the exchange papers were never drawn up. Since this material was only loaned, not deaccessioned, the Grant County PUD returned it to the Burke. (L. Phillips, 1/26/95). Tapered with knob on top. Knob is incised with three concentric circles. Bottom end is battered. May have once been the top of a larger object. (6/95). *Information is from the original accession ledger.
Rectangular; incised and ground on all sides; on one face, a circular depression has been ground. The last digit of this artifact's catalog number has worn off. It is probably O-233, O-234, or O-238, the Burke has all of the other artifacts numbered from O-230 and O-239, except for O-232 (which is a pipe bowl sherd and does not fit the description of this artifact). Of note, according to Butler's Field Catalog the artifacts listed for the three possible catalog numbers are from "Pothunters Tailings," not burials. L.Phillips, 10/13/95.
