Tassel OrnamentN3.38

An ornament made of two elaborately knotted pink, green, and gold silk cords with two large tassels attached to each, all of which are suspended from two pink cords. Below the cords, there is an elaborate knotted design in pink, green, and gold, below which, there is a larger lozenge-shaped flat knotted shape. The tassels have strands grouped according to their colours: red, dark pink, yellow-green, yellow, and dark blue-purple which also show at the top of each tassel. Each is wrapped at the top with gold thread that has a pattern picked out of the tassels’ strands on the surface of each wrapped area.

Waist BagN3.35

A small flat bag made of dark blue silk damask and yellow silk embroidered on both sides. At the top, the blue silk is sewn with an invisible seam to the white cotton lining. Main body of the bag is shaped like a vertical rectangle with triangular projections on both sides created by folding and holding the folds in place with a circular pink cylindrical cord. The centre front panel is embroidered with a pink peony, and the side points with yellow and pink peach flowers, each with five petals. The rectangular panel on the back is embroidered at the top with pink flowers on stems. The pink cord ends at the front with elaborate knots, culminating in three loops.

Waist BagN3.3

A small flat bag made of red silk damask lined with dark blue silk damask with an inner lining of pink cotton fabric revealed by holes under the flap. Bag is rectangular with rounded sides narrowing through, folding to the top opening which is covered by a downwardly-extending flared flap ending with a point. There are embroidered designs outlined in heavy gold couching over the entire red surface. On the flap, there are stylized rocks and waves with a coin in the centre, above which, there are two phoenixes facing each other. Above that, there is a Korean? character with cloud forms on both sides. On the front of the bag, there are two floral images showing beyond the edges of the flap. On the back, there are two seams and four floral images. A green cord, ending in an elaborate knot and four loops, is threaded through the top of the bag. A loop fastener is under the flap.

Long wooden knife that tapers to a sharp pointed end. A rice plant and a duck in flight are designs that have been carved on the shaft of the knife. A long silk tassel and netsuke are attached at the end. The tassel attaches to the knife through a hole at the end and wraps around the handle of the knife along with a piece of olive green silk fabric.

Pink skirt with embroidery and pleats. Across the top is a wide cotton waistband with two long ties and three frog closures. The skirt has two identical panels, overlapping at centre front. The pink damask is woven containing a flower motif. The centre front pieces have appliqué lotus, tree peony, and prunus motifs. The edges are lined with thin gray trim. The inside is unlined.
